Lynda Doty's Burden

Lynda's special burden has always been for those who are hurting. There is so much pain in today's world--physical pain and emotional pain. Most of Lynda's work has been with women who have come out of abuse, and, along with her husband, with couples whose marriages are hurting. Her first book in this area, HELP ME HEAL, was released in 1998. Since that time, doors have opened in many places for her. She ministers throughout the United States in churches where there are hurting people. God has used this broken vessel in mighty ways. She believes that God has a purpose and a plan for each and every life. It is her burden, and her desire, to see folks become what God designed them to be.

In 2008, the Conference! was born. Help Me Heal National Ladies Conferences. The first one was held in Muskegon, MI, followed by Providence, RI, and Illinois. These conferences have taken the country by storm, and are now being held in various locations.

Another burden is in the area of counseling. She had to ask herself at the outset: How to help all these hurting people? Having come out of the world of psychology, she knew that it failed far more often than it helped. Lynda feels so strongly that God's way of helping His people is not with psychological methods but with His Word, the Holy Ghost and the gifts of the Spirit. She has seen it work time after time. She asks: Please don't add psychological methods to the Word of God. This picture shows some of the loving fellowship among our counselors and instructors.
